ROSIE DILWORTH - The Bride
Ever since he picked up a guitar pick that fell out of my pocket in 2016, James and I have been inseparable. 5 years on from that day, James proposed to me on a mountain in the stunning setting of the Lake District.
Now with our wedding fast approaching, I couldn't be any more excited to marry the love of my life, in the presence of my closest family and friends.

Maid of Honour
I've known Rosie since the start of secondary school, when we were lumped together by fate (/alphabetical order). I like to think I popped the question first ("Will you be my best friend?") and our lives have never quite been the same since. From lindy hop routines in PE to getting proper jobs and watching each other fall in love, it really is my greatest honour to continue to be by Rosie's side, even more so on this special day. We really have grown up together, and I can't think of anyone who has supported me and loved me for who I am as unconditionally as Rosie has—no matter where life has taken us, we can look at the moon and think of each other and know we're cheering each other on. If that's not love, then what is?
Strengths: Military-level organisation, giving thoughtful gifts, nice handwriting, specific and obscure references, puns on demand
Weaknesses: No matter how tasty, my stomach can't process spicy food (apologies to my Asian brethren); also best if I steer clear of any balance-related activities (if my scars from falling off bikes is anything to go by); also no tickles (→ involuntary violence, it's not worth the risk)

Rosie and I became friends in Year 7 and I have fond memories of some not so great netball-related ankle injuries and irritating various teachers with our collective agreement as a class to not pay attention. But we have grown and many board games later, I’m a lucky one that made it, still Rosie’s friend.Strengths: Dad jokes, problem-solving (mostly math-related things) and smiling through most situationsWeakness: English grammar (writing this was difficult) and not replying to texts quickly…

I met Rosalind at music school, where fate was gracious enough to have us cross paths. That crossroad merged into our own path that has blossomed into a beautiful and precious friendship. Supporting each other from girlhood to womanhood in a fast paced and whirlwind environment, we were always a secure anchor for each other to hold onto, keeping us grounded and rooted to who we are. This is true to this day! Joking around at the back of live music workshops, belting our way through every genre you can imagine, Rosalind saving me from far too many questionable shenanigans (many of which we got into together), and staying up until sunrise discussing the future, hopes and dreams. And I am so incredibly happy and proud to see one of her biggest dreams come true: Rosalind marrying the love of her life, James!
Strengths: I will risk my life to save any animal, no matter how big or small (Humpback whale? Fruit fly? Don’t worry, I WILL SAVE YOU!), I can quote any line from Friends (yes, I’ll be there for you, cause you’re there for me too!)
Weaknesses: I love travelling the world but I have absolutely zero sense of direction (I, in fact, do not know where any countries are. The world to me truly is borderless!), believing I can survive any and every horror movie scenario (this has almost gotten me into trouble a few times-thank you again Rosalind, for saving my butt more times than I can count)

Like Emma and Grace, I’ve known Rosie since the start of secondary school when we bonded on our daily journey to Kingston on the 65 bus. Nicknamed Rolo and KitKat, back then you’d find us acting up (in school plays or art class), messing about in bands (ukulele or otherwise), and spending far too many nights hanging out on Richmond green after school, consuming far too much sugar… Our friendship was built on laughter, a shared sense of weirdness and hanging out with questionable boys and it has remained that way ever since (sorry James). Strengths: I have many an entertaining/embarrassing story to share, puns, Rosie’s mum once said that I would be really elegant once I gained control of my limbs… I’m still waiting for this to happen.Weaknesses: Wine hangovers and lactose (and yet you’ll always find me eating cheese), puns, I’m pretty clumsy so please no red wine and white tablecloths near me.

A lot of people say their other half completes them, but for me Rosie makes me whole and a better person each day. She brings out the best in me, and I’m so lucky to have met her by sheer chance at the start of my pursuits in music. She’s my best friend (sorry my groomsgang!) and I couldn’t ask for a better partner.

I met James for the first time just before we both started uni at an accommodation meet-up. We immediately bonded over literally everything; music, games, same sense of humour, and were incredibly close friends from the get-go! We’ve kept that friendship going all through uni and beyond, and during uni, we worked on dozens of pieces of music together with some of those tracks still being my absolute favourite songs to this day. Strength: Can probably drink enough caffeine in a day to power a city and writing music that is way heavier than it needs to be.Weakness: Perpetually in the state of walking into a room and not knowing why I went in there.

James and I have been friends since we were making too much noise singing at each other in the Brock building back early in our College years. I was introduced to James by Rob (in one of his better moves) back when I was in college, and I knew him as nothing but a voice coming out of my computer and a mediocre gamer for years. Since then he's grown to be a fantastic musician, a wonderful friend, and a slightly better than average gamer. I've been lucky to have him as a part of my life all this time, he's been with me through so many ups and downs and always been there when I needed him, even after I disappeared for a couple years.
